AI & Quality Control Disclaimer

"Artificial Intelligence may be used only as a limited assistive tool for the stenographic reporter’s sole use in quality control. The stenographic reporter remains the exclusive creator, protector, and certifier of the official record. Assistive Use Only: Thetical is engineered exclusively as a clinical-grade Quality Control (QC) assistant built to assist certified shorthand reporters. Thetical is not an "automated editor" and does not independently alter certified records.

Limitation of Liability: Gremek Labs LLC assumes no liability for missed formatting errors, unflagged anomalies, or the final accuracy of any transcript processed by Thetical. The legal liability, ownership, and final certification of the transcript remain strictly and exclusively with the human-in-the-loop court reporter.

Jurisdiction Availability & Scope of Enforcement

Current Enforcement Scope: As of the date of this disclosure, Thetical’s proofreading engine enforces the formatting and semantic rules of Michigan (SCAO/MECRA) only. Transcripts uploaded while Michigan is selected as the default state are audited against the Michigan State Court Administrative Office formatting requirements.

Beta & Roadmap Jurisdictions: Federal/NCRA, California (CRB), and Texas (JBCC) rules are in active beta development and are not yet production-enforced. Illinois, New York, Florida, New Jersey, and additional states are on our public roadmap. Users may pre-select a non-Michigan jurisdiction in their account settings to prepare for future support; however, until a jurisdiction is officially released, uploaded transcripts are processed under the currently enforced rule set (Michigan SCAO) regardless of the selected default state.

Important:Selecting a beta or roadmap jurisdiction does not enable enforcement of that jurisdiction’s rules. Court reporters operating outside Michigan should review all Thetical output against their own local formatting requirements before certification. Gremek Labs LLC assumes no liability for formatting discrepancies arising from the use of Thetical in jurisdictions where rule enforcement has not been officially released.

7-Day Retention & Privacy Policy

At Gremek Labs LLC, we prioritize the security and confidentiality of legal transcripts. Thetical operates on a strict 7-Day Retention Policy. When you upload a transcript, your file and generated reports remain accessible in your private vault for exactly 7 days to ensure you can download your deliverables (`.txt` transcript, `.html` error report, and `.html` lawyer report).

After 7 days, original input transcript files are automatically purged from our production cloud storage buckets.

AI Feedback & Model Improvement: To continuously refine our proofreading accuracy, processed transcripts and system error reports are analyzed within a secure reinforcement learning feedback loop. We strictly protect your data and do not sell or share client transcripts with third parties.

Terms of Service

Thetical is provided by Gremek Labs LLC as a proofreading and transcription analysis engine. While our AI models achieve legal-grade precision by enforcing state-mandated rules (e.g., SCAO compliance), Thetical serves as a downstream proofreading tool.

Certified Reporter Responsibility: The final responsibility and legal certification for official court records remain exclusively with the certified court reporter or transcriptionist. Thetical does not generate final signed legal deliverables (e.g. signed PDFs or PTXs).

Account & Page Credits: Page credits purchased or granted via promos are non-transferable. Unused promotional page credits remain valid per package terms.

Cancellations, Failures, and Refunds: If a transcript processing job fails due to an internal system error, or if a user manually cancels a job while it is still in a pending or processing state, Thetical will automatically refund the exact number of page credits deducted back to the user's account balance.
